November mood

I have tried to find something to write.

November is not exactly my favorite month of the year.

In the morning it's very dark, until it isn't.

At three pm it starts feeling like it's nine in the evening.

I should really do some exercise or take a walk. I should.

Instead it's fun to eat chocolate.

I know this too shall pass. Now I'm focusing on doing the things I have to.

Like warming the house.

November and Good Habits

In November it's really hard to keep up good habits. I searched for a list of good habits, that will make life better. There are many of them for sure. Here are some of the things I found.

Wake up early
Everyone says it's good to wake up early. The morning is peaceful and you will have a productive day. It doesn't matter if you're not a morning person, it's a habit that can be learned.

In reality:
It's pitch dark and you wonder how it's possible that you heard the sound of your wake up alarm. You manage to get up and make yourself coffee. The second cup of coffee makes you feel a bit awake and the day starts. Productive day ahead? You are happy to manage to get to work.

Eat healthy
I love the idea of healthy eating. Sometimes I might succeed. The truth is that I will usually never eat as much fruit or vegetables as I should.

In November:
Chocolate has a lot of energy and coffee keeps you going.

Exercise
Well, I actually like exercising. It seems like there is not so much time for it as needed.

In November:
It's too dark and cold outside for exercise. Of course it can be done indoors. Yes.

The truth is, that it's not easy to keep up good habits. It's easy to find excuses for keep doing the things that are good for you.

The playground and November light

I used to think that people who break their own routines and move to the country-side are at least crazy. Moving out of from the centre where everything is happening. Why does anyone want to do that? Maybe there are some reasons for that. Slower life, cosy life. More place for the kids to play, to live closer to the nature.

There are many things you can invest in. Some people use much of their money and time to travel to different places. I love travelling. There are so may places to see and things to experience. But right now we have been investing in our house and it's and surroundings. Many years of renovating the house and still some small things to be done.

Now we have been building a playground in the yard. The playground was not planned to be this big, it just happened. And actually, it can even be enlarged. Why not? Life is our playground. Enjoy these pictures taken in November's different shades of gray.
